Community

Unique, Picturesque, Conveniently located are just a few ways to describe the waterfront community of Apollo Beach.

Apollo Beach is located on the eastern side of Tampa Bay in the SouthShore region of Hillsborough County, Florida. As a location to live and work, it epitomizes all that is best in Florida, with its unique opportunities for both business and pleasure.

Apollo Beach is at the heart of the SouthShore area that is enjoying a period of substantial business and residential growth, which is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.

It is centrally located, extremely accessible and convenient as a base for both working anywhere in the Tampa Bay area and enjoying the vast array of recreational experiences that abound. It is very close to both I75 and I4, 20 minutes from Tampa, 30 minutes from both Bradenton to the South and Busch Gardens to the North, 45 minutes from either Tampa International Airport or the Gulf Beaches, and only some 90 minutes from the Orlando area Disney and other recreational attractions.

Apollo Beach is a man-made community of waterfront homes that can satisfy the boating needs of the most avid sailing, powerboat and fishing enthusiast.

It is the home of -

bullet The Tampa Sailing Squadron
bullet Two marinas
bullet County nature park (that is ideal for both the fishermen and fossil or shark's tooth hunter alike)
bullet Private golf club,
bullet Recreational park (with a track, tennis, volleyball, softball and basketball facilities)
bullet Privately owned Tennis, Fitness, Racquet and Swim Club.

Tampa Bay is a fisherman's paradise -

bullet with sea trout (speckled trout), redfish, Cobia, Snook, Tarpon, Sheepshead, Catfish and Shark as some of the species that abound in our waters.
bullet Beyond Tampa Bay lie the intra-coastal waterway and Florida's west coast barrier islands (a mere 20 miles away by boat) and the deeper waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
bullet Inland, canoe trips down the local rivers or horseback riding along the trails of the Little Manatee River State Park provide further opportunities for the nature enthusiast to absorb the natural beauty of the SouthShore area.

Apollo Beach is Eco-friendly -

bullet Among its many attractions, Apollo Beach is the winter home (normally from mid-November to early April) for significant numbers of the elusive and endangered manatee, or sea cow, which migrate to the warm waters around the cooling water outflow from the Tampa Electric Company facility, where you will find both a manatee viewing center and nature trail.
bullet In March each year the Apollo Beach Chamber of Commerce hosts the nationally recognized 'Manatee Arts Festival'. The 2-day event is a juried fine arts and crafts show that draws exhibitors and spectators from all around the nation.

The area is also rich in cultural attractions -

bullet Theatres
bullet Performing Arts Center in downtown Tampa
bullet Museums
bullet Wide selection of fine dining being among the many attractions that are within easy reach of Apollo Beach.
