The
premier arts event in South Shore, the
Apollo Beach Manatee Arts Festival, is
held each year on the second weekend in
March. Thousands attend the Festival grounds in
Apollo Beach for fun, food, and to
celebrate the visual, performing, and culinary
arts.

Each year a cadre of national and
international artists and craftsmen
exhibited their work to thousands of
Festival attendees. Our Festival
features:
over 100 juried artists selected for talent and creativity.

art in a wide range of media including
painting, sculpture, woodworking,
photography, and jewelry making.
a Children's Creativity Center with
hands-on crafts.
the Culinary Arts Competition features a
live culinary contest between groups of
highly talented high school students and
reviewed by a panel of professional
judges.

Culinary professionals giving tips on
shopping, food preparation, and
nutrition.

2008 Entertainment featured "Lester
Freeman and D Band"! Lester is an
original member of the Soul Brothers
Six, best known for their super-hit
"Some Kind of Wonderful". A
resident of Apollo Beach, he performs in
various night clubs in Tampa and Las
Vegas. At the 2008 Festival Lester
had the crowds standing on their feet
and dancing across the grounds with his
own music and the music of his friends.
a Patrons Program for the art
enthusiast, including a special Festival
Preview Party where Patrons could meet
our artists and the Festival organizers.
a free shuttle service to the TECO
Manatee Viewing Center to see manatees
and other wildlife in their habitat.
a wide variety of food and beverage
vendors including an open-air bistro for
beer and lively conversation.
Now in our 17th
year, the Festival has developed a great
reputation among artists, art
professionals, and the public. This
year we have a truly exceptional group
of national and international exhibitors
ready to showcase their talents for
